What's New for 2018?

After a significant overhaul for 2017, Kia is not making a lot of changes to the Sorento for the 2018 model year. The list of standard and optional features per trim level, which we've detailed in our discussion of Sorento trim levels below, sees only a minor revision, and the Sorento continues to provide incredible value and versatility in each of its setups. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you're interested in learning more about the Kia Sorento and why it makes such a great vehicle for Connecticut drivers.

Sharp and Smart Design Elements, Outside and In

The 2018 Kia Sorento retains its sharp styling. It's an eye-catching midsize SUV, with smoothly carved sidewalls, muscular shoulders, a low roofline, and Kia's signature tiger-nose grille and long swept-back projector beam headlights. Available 19-inch chrome-finish alloy wheels with a striking 10-spoke design complete the look.

The smart design carries over to the interior, which features available second-row sliding seats for easy third-row access. Plus, Kia's available Remote Release allows the second row to be easily folded down even while standing at the rear of the vehicle. And the Smart Power Liftgate opens like magic when it senses your smart key - no waving of the hands or feet required.

Customized Performance

Powertrain options in the 2018 Kia Sorento range from 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine to the performance-oriented 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and the powerful 3.3-liter V6 with 5,000-pound towing capacity.

Kia's Dynamax™ AWD system , available on every trim except the L, constantly monitors road and driving conditions and uses Torque Vectoring Cornering Control (TVCC) for more precise turning.

With Drive Mode Select, you can change your Sorento's performance on the fly. NORMAL mode provides balanced performance dynamics; ECO maximizes fuel economy with engine, transmission and even air conditioning system management; and SPORT sharpens engine and performance settings and stiffens the steering feel.

Intuitive Technology Throughout, from Connectivity to Safety

Kia's UVO eServices provide personalized connectivity to your Sorento either through the vehicle or your smartphone. UVO features voice-command recognition and integrates seamlessly with Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™.

Audiophiles will be delighted by Kia's Clari-Fi™ audio enhancement technology and the available Infinity® Surround Audio System, which includes a center speaker, sub-woofer, amplifier, and surround sound for a stunning in-cabin sound experience.

Most important, though, is the Sorento's state-of-the-art suite of driver-assistance safety technologies. These include Surround View Monitor (SVM), which controls four mounted cameras and provides a bird's-eye view of your vehicle; Lane Departure Warning (LDWS), which monitors and alerts if lane drift is detected; and Advance Smart Cruise Control (ASCC), a radar-based system that maintains a safe distance between your Sorento and the next car.

A Great Balance of Features and Value on Every Trim Level

The 2018 Kia Sorento is available in seven trim levels.
